In Part 1, we discussed the development of Asia into a global power.  Now we look at the Asian Century’s impact on Global Mobility.

The world is changing and with that change comes a stronger Asia.  Beyond China and India, as discussed in Part 1 there are many other countries from the region that are advancing their economies and taking global leadership positions in everything from manufacturing to technology.

Up until this point in time, relocation movement has predominantly been from West to East.  In recent years, things have become multi-directional however the future holds even more East to West assignments.  The number of Asian Fortune 500 companies will increase in number and they will look to global markets for expansion.

Until that occurs, we can’t define absolutely what Asia-inclusive global mobility looks like.  What we have tried to do in this second installment is use the past to help predict the future.
