A few big changes this week.

Hong Kong has changed requirements for quarantine of all arrivals except those from mainland China, mandating a hotel booking for the quarantine period prior to boarding a flight.  Japan has added Jordan and Myanmar to the list of banned countries and removed several regional countries including Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Macau, New Zealand, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

China has made the biggest changes this week both on who can enter and the entrance requirements.  There is a temporary suspension of non-Chinese nationals arriving from UK, Belgium, Philippines, India, Ukraine and Bangladesh due to their high and rising Covid-19 cases.  China will also require both a nucleic acid test and IgM anti-body test taken within 48 hours of travel for travelers from the US, Germany, Czech Republic and France (as of 5 November), Denmark (as of 7 November) and Australia, Singapore and Japan (as of 8 November).

If you are attending the Worldwide ERC Virtual Global Workforce Symposium, we look forward to “seeing” you there!  Shoot off a message to chat, catch our “Ted” style talk on the Asia Century located in the Content Hub and add the session “Domestic Moves Outside the US | Canada, China and India” to your briefcase so you don’t miss our CEO, Steve Burson and esteemed colleagues present an insightful session.
