Rising cases and another week of little change.

As we enter the final days of 2020, cases of COVID-19 are again, on the rise globally.  Asia is experiencing the same, although the number of cases typically remains much lower here than in Western countries.  Rising cases in Australia, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong have meant the extension or implementation of restrictive measures locally.

The Singapore and Hong Kong “Air Travel Bubble” is still set to go into effect from 22 November. While Japan and Vietnam have enacted a fast track or Reciprocal Green Lane between their two countries.

With ongoing border restrictions, sending assignees and families on trips to a new destination before the actual move date is not always feasible or cost-effective.  Still, employees and their families need information about their new destination before they depart their home location.  We have developed  an alternative to the traditional, accompanied “Look-See / Familiarization” trip.  Our Pr-e-Arrival Area Orientation Program introduces the new location and gives employees the information they need to be confident in their move.

In recent days there has been promising news regarding the progress of multiple vaccines. We wish great fortune and speed to all the scientists who are working on them.
