I had the honor of representing Relo Network Asia in a Move for Hunger challenge sponsored by Graebel.
The goal was to raise 63,000 meals by logging in healthy and positive activities from walking to running or making a healthy meal and donating to charity. For the month of October, I logged every exercise I completed. While I always wish I could have done more, I met my individual goal, raising 100 meals for the program.
Collectively, the participants from around the world provided for 65,973.61 meals to those in need.
Throughout the challenge, the participants received updates on our progress as well as information on how to fight hunger and reduce food waste, such as this great tidbit:
Did You Know? 43% of food waste occurs at home! Following on last week’s tips on cooking more sustainably, here are ways to be a more savvy and sustainable shopper! You can reduce waste before you even bring groceries (or other products) home!
