Some progress has been made in the Philippines and Japan this week as the former plans to allow Long-term Visa holders to reenter starting August first and the latter is providing a narrow entry capabilities but only for select foreigners.

Both India and Myanmar have extended their nationwide measures to control the virus through until August 31 at least.  Cambodia is suspending fights from Malaysia and Indonesia starting August 1st and Vietnam has quickly shut down flights to and from Da Nang to stop an outbreak there.  Hong Kong has also seen a resurgence of cases.  Services there have reverted to an adjusted service delivery to limit the parties involved in in-person service delivery including home finding and area orientation.

***There is a developing situation in Vietnam that started with Da Nang’s outbreak.  Both Hanoi and HCMC are reacting by putting restrictions in place for large gatherings, conferences and the operations of some recreational businesses.
